Jyotish is an integral part of the vast knowledge that we have inherited from the great saints and sages who have blessed our country from their presence in the past times. As time has passed, people have tried more and more to uncover the vast mysteries that have been left as part of this vast knowledge. Kaalsarp dosh and its twelve categories is one such uncovered mystery. Not only are we now aware of the pros and cons of Kaalsarp dosh, we also know the kind of kaalsarp dosh we suffer from and how to minimize its side effects.
Occurrence and Side Effects:
The name Mahapadam Kaalsarp Dosh is the sixth kind of Kaalsarp Dosh. Indian mythology states that the great Rishi Kashyap and his wife Kadru were parents to a large clan of powerful snakes. Mahapadam was one of their many sons. It is from here that the dosh derives its name. Like all the other types of Kaalsarp dosh, it is also caused by the apparent position of Rahu and Ketu in a person’s birth chart. Whenever Rahu occupies the sixth house of the birth chart, Ketu occupies the twelfth and the other seven planets encircle between them, the person is said to be suffering from Mahapadam Kaalsarp Dosh. This is considered very unlucky who has to face such star formations thereby leading to this dosh.
Due to the fact that that Rahu resides in the sixth house which is the house of health and service and Ketu in the twelfth house which is the house governing the enemies, the person is often seen to overpower his enemy. Most of his earnings come through foreign trade due to which he has to reside in foreign lands for long periods of time causing lack of peace in the family. Such people have been to gain either money or happiness. Besides, they are often cheated by their own kith and kin. Mental depression, a constant feeling of animosity, suspension from workplace etc. are a few of the very common problems observed in people who have this dosh.
Remedies:
With so much at stake, it is important to look out for the remedies of the dosh. Worship of Lord Shiva regularly for all the eighteen days of ‘Shukla paksha’ or the bright side of lunar month is the best way out of this dosh. Fasting for eighteen Saturdays, reciting Rahu’s mantra for 3 series (3×108 times) per day is also considered very pious. Fasting on Nag Panchami and performing rituals in the holy land of Prayag or Allahabad are also considered important to reduce the malefic effects of the Mahapadam Kaalsarp Dosh.
It is quite clear from the context above that it is not an impossible task to reduce the malefic effects caused by the Mahapadam Kaalsarp Dosh.
No doubt the problem is prominent, but it has been observed that despite of all its fearsome consequences, people taking proper precautions can become huge names in the field of law. Lawyers, debaters etc. have often been observed suffering from this dosh. Hence the fact that no matter however worse, a solution to every problem exists must be kept in mind by anyone suffering from the Mahapadam Kaalsarp Dosh.
